Minmore House Hotel Restaurant

EatScotlands independent assessor said
"Minmore House offers excellent quality food, served in comfortable, elegant surroundings. The food is of a very high standard, both for quality of ingredients and style of presentation which has a classic French influence. The fixed menu changes daily and offers a variety of dishes to accommodate most tastes."
Hot-smoked Salmon with a Horseradish Hollandaise Sauce
"A good-sized portion, attractively presented to look delicate and interesting. Excellent quality and very well prepared. The Hollandaise was an excellent accompaniment to the salmon, with a gentle flavour of horseradish to complement the richness of the fish."
Magret of Gressingham Duck with Orange Sauce
"The duck had an excellent flavour and texture.
Minmore House was built in 1820 and is the former home of George Smith, founder of Glenlivet Distillery. It is an elegant, stone-built, country house standing amid the magnificent scenery of the Glenlivet Crown Estate in the heart of Speyside. The restaurant specialises in the finest Scottish produce, using only fresh local ingredients, including vegetables and herbs from our own kitchen garden. Gourmet four-course dinners are served in our traditional dining room, with lighter lunches being served in our oak-panelled bar area.
