Howies Waterloo Place

EatScotlands' independent assessor said:
"The quality of the food was evident and the ingredients fresh and well cooked."
"The staff were very pleasant and worked efficiently."
Cullen Skink
"A thick creamy soup, with apparent pieces of potato and fish. A well flavoured authentic smoked fish had been used giving this dish excellent flavour."
Pan Fried Lamb's Liver
"Served in a deep plate, with the mash at the bottom, slices of liver on top and with the roasted onion on the very top, attractively placed to resemble an opening flower."
Rhubarb Crumble Créme Brulee
"A good smooth creamy custard complemented by crunchy topping and stewed rhubarb at the bottom."
Howies attracts families, couples, tourists, parties and corporate bookings. We have a contemporary style, although the restaurant is situated in a grand Georgian building which is bright and spacious and retains many original features.
The atmosphere is relaxed yet lively. We have established a reputation for using fresh Scottish produce with skill and imagination.
Our menu changes monthly and is complemented by a range of chef's specials.
