The County Hotel Restaurant

EatScotlands independent assessor said
"The hotel offers all day food in its bar & coffee shop. The menu is comprehensive, catering for a wide range of customers. Much fresh local and other Scottish produce is used wherever possible, with food freshly cooked and served in hearty portions."
Lentil Soup
"The soup was full of chunky fresh vegetables with a robust lentil flavour in a good stock. A hearty serving, with crusty fresh bread an a portion of butter on the side."
Breaded Haddock
"Presented with a lemon wedge and fresh parsley garnish. The fish flesh was moist and flaked easily with the breadcrumb crust very tasty."
Our typical customers are local couples and families, hotel residents and tourists. Our style is that of a traditional but informal restaurant focusing on freshly prepared food. The restaurant has traditional décor and the atmosphere is lively without being noisy. House specialties include Bonnie Prince Charlie (sirloin stuffed with haggis in Drambuie sauce) and Chicken Glengoyne (chicken supreme filled with haggis in a creamy whisky and tomato sauce).
