Goats Cheese Mousse, Walnut Brioche & Pear & Celery Salsa
"The Goats Cheese Mousse was topped with a sprinkling of carefully chosen leaves and herbs. The leaves were well dressed and the finely diced salsa apprpriately placed to one side. The goats cheese was of very good quality, fresh and vibrant. The dressing on the leaves and salsa were kept simple. The flavours married very well with the toasted Walnut Brioche. Excellent balance of flavours between ingredients."

Loin of Perthshire Lamb, Braised Savoy Cabbage & Red Wine JUs
"The scallop sliced pink Loin of Perthshire Lamb nestled on top of the savoy cabbage with a cylindrical fondant potato to one side. The jus was attractively pooled. The quality and texture of the lamb was exemplary with the lamb being perfect in flavour and tenderness balanced superbly with the other ingredients."

Basil's is our recently refurbished restaurant, providing an elegant setting in which to enjoy our varied menus that feature a subtle blend of modern international cuisine with some Scottish influences.

We cater for vegetarians and have a children's menu. Typical customers are our own hotel residents, locals and visitors to the area. We offer formal style dining, with modern and elegant décor, giving a bright, relaxing atmosphere.

House specialities include West coast halibut and Cullen Skink.
