"The lamb was sliced and stacked on a bed of creamed potato, the green vegetables assing colour, along with the right amount of rosemary jus. The thin slice of forcemeat adding a geometric element. Very good balance of flavours with the lamb being cooked pink as requested."
Our a la carte restaurant caters mainly for the hotel's guests. The traditional dining room has been recently refurbished with a more contemporary feel, with décor which reflects the association with the Border Reivers.
The Sawney Bean Restaurant offers less formal dining.
We lay emphasis on fresh local produce which includes Buccleuch beef, border lamb and Locharthur cheeses.
