The Lodge at Carfraemill

EatScotlands independent assessor said
"Situated conveniently on the A68 leading to the Scottish borders, close to the historic burgh of Lauder, The Lodge at Carfraemill offers impeccably served good Scottish cooking. Children are especially welcome, with facilities provided. Good Scottish home cooking, using locally sourced, high quality ingredients in traditional dishes."
Pumpkin & Sweet Potato Soup
"Freshly made soup of the day of excellent quality, with the flavour of the main ingredients evident. A well balanced dish with a very good consistency of flavour."
Deep Dish Apple Pie
"The apple pie had been nicely square cut, with sugar drizzle. Nice crunch to the Bramley apples, complemented by the texture of the sultanas, the butter pastry, flaky and light."
The Lodge at Carfraemill is personally run by its owner, Mrs. Jo Sutherland, who ensures that guests at her home from home leave contented and extremely well fed.
Guests arriving at The Lodge immediately feel at home with log fires burning in a comfortable environment creating an atmosphere of traditional style. Decorated in warm and inviting colours The Lodge captures much of the old world charm but it also offers up to date convenience.
