Pan fried Sea Bream Fillet with Poppy Seed Mash, Char-grilled Asparagus with Watercress Sauce
“The sea bream was flavoursome, correctly cooked with moist flesh and crisply seared skin. The smoothly blended mash was enlivened by the poppy seeds and the char-grilled seasonal asparagus was an excellent choice of accompaniment. The rich watercress pesto enhanced this dish, as did the delicately flavored sauce, which was of a perfect, thin consistency. Delicious: A delightful combination of early summer colour, flavour and texture.”
Pistachio and Orange Tart
“The pastry had a good, short, consistency and the pistachio and orange filling was soft and chewy. The ice cream complimented the richer taste and texture of the tart, which had an enjoyable hint of green cardamom cutting through the sweetness of the filling.”
We cater for tourists and local customers, including residents, business people, students and families. Our style is informal and the open plan, airy café generates a lively atmosphere without too much noise.
Our food is cooked in a wood-burning oven and pizzas made from organic flour are one of our specialities.
