Annandale Arms Hotel Restaurant

EatScotlands independent assessor said
"This long-established town centre hotel is proud of its relaxed, informal atmosphere. The menu, available in both bar and restaurant, is a mix of Scottish and international styles, with the accent on showcasing local seasonal produce."
Roast Chump of Dumfries-shire Lamb
"High quality local lamb: tender and succulent. Soft, roasted root vegetables full of flavour, with broccoli florets adding contrasting texture and colour. Appetising aromas."
Raspberry Cranachan
"Appealing presentation in a Martini glass with fresh raspberries and a toasted oatmeal dusting. A pleasing contrast of cream, pinhead oatmeal and raspberries, rich yet light, with freshly baked shortbread rounds with a satisfying snap and good flavour. A hint of Drambuie cut through the creaminess of this enjoyable dessert."
Our menu incorporates robust flavours using top quality locally sourced meat, fresh herbs, seasonal vegetables and home-made stocks to enhance the contemporary Scottish style. The Annandale Arms is renowned for its variety of home-made pies. Steaks are sourced from the Buccleuch Estate farms, the black pudding from Stornoway, wild salmon from the Solway, and scallops from the West Coast. All food is cooked and presented in-house to ensure quality and freshness.
