The Overscaig has operated as a hotel for over 150 years. Previously a drovers inn and coach stop it became a shooting and fishing lodge in the 1850s. Today it caters for people who wish to enjoy the outdoors fishing and walking in remote Sutherland then relax with good food and wine and finally settle with a single malt by the fireside.
We have 8 modern en-suite bedrooms all with tea/coffee making facilities. Most rooms have TV/DVD and loch views. The hotel has both bar & restaurant, which are open to the public, as well as a residents lounge. We serve local organic produce in both restaurant and bar and our Chef creates dishes in a contemporary style with the best of Highland ingredients. A truly warm Highland welcome in one of Europes last wilderness areas.
