"The soup was very appealing. Excellent consistency, evidence of fresh chopped carrots and onions, pieces of ham hock flaked through the soup and importantly steaming hot."

Family run country pub serving traditional home cooked lunches and evening meals, where you're sure of a warm friendly welcome. Have a drink in the unique Geordies Byre (public bar), which has won a design award and includes cow stalls and milk churns as bar stools. Meals are served in comfortable lounge with real coal fire.
