Wild Boar Paté
“Well balanced. Soft-textured boar paté, enhanced with the hot port sauce. Good flavours, good presentation, competently prepared.”
Springbock Fillet
“Good visual appeal, a fillet of springbok, served with a red wine and rosemary sauce, accompanied with sliced courgettes, batons of carrots, baby boiled and roasted potatoes. The appearance was well-balanced and inviting.
The springbok was cooked pink, tasted delicious and was tender.”
Sticky Toffee Pudding
“Soft sponge mix, with chunks of fig throughout – light texture. The toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream were of a good standard. A well-constructed dessert.”
The Folly Restaurant strives to provide a good choice of meals prepared to a very high standard using fresh local produce where possible. All meals are prepared to order by our chef Wendy Pearce who is renowned for wonderful seafood and superb Aberdeen Angus steaks prepared exactly as you like them. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal. Excellent, friendly service is one of our priorities.
