Now in its tenth year The Stand Comedy Club is Edinburgh's only full-time comedy venue. Housed in its own purpose built city centre premises just five minutes walk from Princes Street, it is one of the leading comedy venues in the UK and a mainstay of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Consistently high quality live entertainment seven days a week, combined with value for money prices mean the venue is often packed - so it's best to book in advance. Prices start at just two pounds for the Red Raw beginners' night on Mondays to a maximum of £12 for the premium Saturday night show.
The club presents theatre quality stand-up comedy performances in a intimate cabaret style atmosphere. Audiences can drink and eat during performances and there are two short intervals for chatting.
The bar serves a full range of licensed drinks and fabulous coffee. Chef Matthew Steven Chef provides a highly acclaimed menu of home-cooked specials at unbeatable prices from Thursday - Sunday. Sunday lunchtimes combine free improvised comedy with superb food to provide a wicked hangover cure.
