The Robert Burns Centre Film Theatre
This arthouse cinema shows a wide variety of films which are not available in commercial cinemas in a fantastic setting in the heart of Dumfries.
Situated in a converted 18th-century watermill by the River Nith and just a few minutes’ walk from Dumfries town centre, The Robert Burns Centre Film Theatre screens a wide variety of films not available in the commercial cinemas including foreign language, British films, old classics and independant films using state-of-the-art projection facilities. The cinema is fully accessible to wheelchair users and offers four wheelchair spaces in the auditorium.
Due to limited seating capacity, advance booking or checking availability before setting out, particularly if travelling far, is advised. All performances are bookable in advance by coming into the cinema in person or by telephone during box office hours.
Why not make a night of it and enjoy a fantastic pre-show meal with tasty, fresh and innovative food, including a wide selection of vegetarian fare at the adjacent Hullabaloo Restaurant and Bar?
The Film Theatre is also available for private hire including staging your very own cinema party - just you, your friends and the film of your choice. Plus lots of delicious Cream o’ Galloway ice cream!
