Springwood Park (BUAS)
Springwood Park is 45 acres of well manicured Showground situated within easy walking distance of Kelso Town Centre. This picturesque Showground is bordered by woodland and the famous Tweed Junction, with views of Floors Castle and Kelso Abbey.
Springwood Park is owned by the Border Union Agricultural Society which organises the Border Union Championship Dog Show on the second weekend in June, the Border Union Show on the last weekend in July and the Dectomax Kelso Ram Sales on the second Friday of September. The Showground also hosts many other events throughout the year including dog shows, horse shows, vintage agricultural shows, antiques fairs, motorcycle shows, food fairs and caravan rallies. During the summer months, there is always something happening.
Springwood Park also has a 1000 square metre, multi-functional Exhibition Hall, known as Springwood Hall. This has been used for conventions, trade shows, awards dinners, balls and fairs. It features a large kitchen, a meeting room, toilets and full disabled facilities and can be divided into smaller areas. Springwood Hall is the largest indoor venue in the Borders.
