Inverness Royal Legion Pipe Band street performances
Each Tuesday evening in Inverness High Street from late June to early September, The Inverness Royal Legion Pipe Band entertain the public for 30 minutes from 8.00 pm, weather permitting.
After each performance, the band welcome their audience taking photos of them collectively or with individual band members, free of charge, Postcards of the band will also be available to purchase.
The Inverness Royal Legion Pipe Band are a non-competing social band whose aim is to encourage and give pipers and drummers, with previous experience and a passion for pipe music, the opportunity of playing in a pipe band.
Formed in 1919, the band formally became the Inverness Branch Royal British Legion Pipes and Drums two years' later, one of the first formed in the Highlands and one of the few remaining bands who still wear the full military No 1 dress.
