Culzean Castle
20 minutes from Ayr
Culzean is regarded as the best National Trust Prroperty in Scotland. You can soend a whole day here, with lovely walks through the woodland or along the beach. The well-informed guides will give you zn interesting tour of the castle, or you may simply enjoy the excellent cafe/restaurant.
Robert Burns Visitor Centre
Scotland's national bard
Burns was born in Alloway, just outside Ayr. There is an excellent visitor centre with audio visual theatre showing his most famous poem, Tam o'Shanter. There is a gift shop and reataurant.
