Aberdeen Arts Centre
This ashlar granite building was constructed between 1828 and 1830, as the North Kirk, to John Smith's Grecian-style plan, his first classical design. The Art Centre's main entrance is at the top of a series of steps and beneath a portico which is supported by four impressive Ionic columns. Above the portico stands a tall tower of two distinct portions.
