Located in the centre of Dumfries, Strands offers a wide range of designer, modern and contemporary jewellery and crafts. Our constantly changing range of crafts has been selected to offer a wide choice of high quality, original and handmade works with an emphasis on individuality and good value.
Pieces are made using both traditional and modern materials and techniques ranging from recycled plastics and glass to hand-craved wood and hand-built ceramics. Our range of designer-made modern and traditional jewellery is , we believe, the largest in south west Scotland. This features pieces from both new and established designers, usually from the United Kingdom.
We stock local and Scottish jewellery and crafts such as metalwork, ceramics, handmade soaps and textiles. All these works make interesting and individual presents and gifts or pieces for the home, alongside our range of hand-made cards and paper.
