Braehead Shopping and Leisure Centre
Scotland's premier retail and leisure destination with over 100 of the UK's best-known High Street names, together with a variety of cafes, restaurants and independent retailers.<p>
Anchored by Marks & Spencer and Sainsbury's, the centre also features stores such as Gap, Next, River Island, Woolworths, Boots and BHS. Adjacent to the centre is Braehead Retail Park, which includes a B&Q, PC World, Halfords and Curry's. Opposite the retail park is Ikea.<p>
The centre also has an integrated leisure centre with a skating rink, curling rink, bar and 4000-seat international arena. Recent events include Disney on Ice, Scottish Football Masters, World Cup Gymnastics and Scottish Curling Championships.<p>
The centre also features Clydebuilt - a maritime heritage centre that charts the history of the Clyde. Visitors can climb aboard the oldest Clyde-built ship still afloat in the UK, the MV Kyles and discover how she spent her working life. The 'Kyles' is moored at Braehead's pontoon, next to 'The Pride O' The Clyde' - a waterbus which takes passengers up and down the Clyde.<p>
Visitors can enjoy a relaxing 30 minute sail each way, as they take in Glasgow's shipbuilding heritage as well as the current developments along the riverbank.<p>
A day out in Braehead shouldn't be missed - its an experience truly out of the ordinary.<p>
