Designed by Duncan McMillan for the Free Church 1874. Early Gothic style with a tall square bell tower with octagonal spire. Side galleries added in 1896 were reduced in 1994. From 1929-90 the building was known as Ferryhill South Church. Contains several fine windows by James McLundie, A L Moore and others, including a number removed from the former Ferryhill North Church.

The sanctuary was re-ordered 1994 by Oliver Humphries, and in 1994 the same architect was responsible for the creation of a fine new atrium and foyer. The memorial Chapel incorporates the 51st (Highland) Divisional Signals War Memorial, the Piper Alpha and Steele memorial windows, both by Jane Bayliss. Allen organ. Small historical museum in the basement.

Sunday Service: 11.00am (10.00am in July and August); see notice boards for evening and weekday services and musical events
