Our Lady of Sorrows, South Uist

Built 1965, Architect Richard J McCarson, with a monopitch roof. Above Blessed Sacrement altar is a ceramic on the theme of the Sacred Heart by David Harding of Edinburgh who was also responsibile for original mural of Our Lady of Sorrows at the entrance. This was replaced in 1994 by the present mural reflecting the sorrows of the contemporary world by Michael Gilfeddar, commissioned by Canon Galbraith.
