St Patrick's Church
Roman Catholic
Built 1901 and paid for by Archbishop Charles Eyre of Glasgow. A sanctuary extension and porch were added in 1953. It was built to serve the growing Catholic population of Strathaven following immigration from Ireland and the Highlands. The original smaller church, built in 1853, stands besides the church and is now a parish hall.
