Aberfoyle Parish Church
Church of Scotland
John Honeyman designed this church which sits at the foot of Craigmore and on the banks of the River Forth. In early-Gothic style 1870, it replaced the old kirk of Aberfoil on the south bank of the river reached by crossing the hump-backed bridge. The new church was enlarged in 1884 to include transepts. The interior is elegant with the minimum of ornamentation. Magnificent roof timbers. Stained glass, including a window by Gordon Webster 1974. 2-manual pipe organ 1887 by Bryceson Brothers, London. On the B829. Linked with Port of Menteith.
