Eddleston Parish Church
Church of Scotland
The site has been in continuous occupation since the 12th century, the present building being erected in 1829 and incorporates a number of carved stones of the 17th and 18th centuries. The church was rebuilt after a fire in 1897 and the vestry and chancel added. The restoration was paid for by the then Lord Elibank, and Mr Somerville of Portmore. The church bell, one of the oldest in the country, was cast in 1507. The 2-manual pedal organ of 1907 from St Blanes in Dunblane was rebuilt here in 1980.
