Killin

A stone bridge over the Falls of Dochart in Killin, with autumnal trees and mountains

Information enquiry

Killin is a small town on the Falls of Dochart at the southern end of Loch Tay.

Sitting on the shores of Loch Tay, popular for both its salmon fishing and watersports, Killin straddles the magnificent Falls of Dochart. The village makes a good base for walks in the surrounding mountains of Breadalbane.

The Breadalbane Folklore Centre explores the history and mythology of Breadalbane. The centre's highlight is the 1300-year-old healing stones of St Fillan, an early Christian missionary who settled in nearby Glen Dochart.
