Balquhidder

A sign marking the grave of Rob Roy in Balquhidder

Information enquiry

Balquhidder is best known as the resting place of Rob Roy.

The village of Balquidder lies at the foot of Loch Voil, south-west of Lochearnhead and west of Strathyre. Its setting on the edge of the Highlands is fitting enough for Rob Roy, who is buried here. You can pay your respects at the grave of the famous outlaw, who died in 1734.
