Scourie is a crofting settlement on the coast in the remote north-west of Sutherland. The village is situated around a lovely sandy beach, making it popular with holidaymakers.
Weather permitting, you can get the boast from here to Handa Island, home to vast seabird colonies in the spring and summer. The star attraction are the puffins, present from late May to mid-July.
