Armadale
The hamlet of Armadale is on the Sleat peninsula, at the south end of the Isle of Skye.
As well as by road, you can get to Armadale by ferry across the Sound of Sleat from Mallaig. Boat trips take you in search of the wildlife of the area, while on dry land are Clan Donald Skye. The museum tells the story of Skye; the gardens house the ruins of the MacDonalds' neo-Gothic castle.
