Roybridge is three miles east of Spean Bridge, in Glen Spean, Highland. Glen Roy runs north into the Monadliath Mountains. Here you can see the 'parallel roads' - amcient beaches at various levels along the valley sides which mark the shorelines of a loch confined here by a glacial dam in the last Ice Age.
