On the doorstep of the Cairngorms National Park, surrounded by immense scenery, Aviemore is a major holiday resort in the Highlands.

Aviemore is an excellent base for exploring the wilderness of the Cairgorms National Park, covering the mountains, Glenmore, Rothiemurcus Forest and much more. Get a taste of the big country at Craigellachie - wooded crags which overlooks the town with a boardwalk to help you reach the heights. In summer keep an eye out for the peregrine falcons nesting on the crags.

There are some options for staying at nearby Coylumbridge, at the start of the epic 'ski road' up to the Cairngorms.
