Buckie / Spey Bay

Fishermen on a boat by a bridge in Spey Bay. Moray

Information enquiry

Buckie and Spey Bay lie on the Moray coast, with great scenery and wildlife nearby.

The coastline of the Spey Bay surrounding Buckie is interesting, especially the stunning Bow and Fiddle rock formations near Portknockie. Buckie itself has a busy harbour with a large fishing fleet, fish market and boatbuilding yards.

Wildlife includes dolphins, which can be seen from the beach at the mouth of Spey - also a good spot for observing otters and ospreys. Long-distance footpath the Speyside Way starts (or finishes) here.
