North Mainland offers awesome scenery and special wildlife.
From high moorland with mountain hares and golden plovers to the rocky shores of Lunna Ness with their seals and otters, Shetland's North Mainland is a wild and wonderful world. The cliffs at Eshaness in Northmavine are one of the most spectacular sights in Shetland.
The birdwatching is superb, from stacks of seabirds on the cliffs in summer to ducks and divers in the epic waters of Sullom Voe in the winter.
