Tarbert (Harris)

Tarbert is the ferry port for Harris on the Outer Hebrides.

The ferry port of Tarbert is the hub of Harris - not that there is much competition on this dramatic island of mountains and beaches. The mountains form a grand backdrop to the town, situated in a valley that slopes down to the port. In fact, Tarbert lies between the two 'islands' of North and South Harris. The ferry serves Uig on Skye.
