Daliburgh

Daliburgh (or Dalabrog in Gaelic) lies a few miles north east of Lochboisdale, South Uist's main settlement and ferry terminal.
The settlement is a good base to enjoy a range of activities on offer in the region including fishing, diving, golfing, birdwatching and walking, which is a good way to explore the many historical and archeological sites to be found here. The nearby Askernish Golf Course, originally designed by Old Tom Morris, also attracts many of visitors keen to test their skills against this challenging course; it is currently being extensively renovated but is expected to re-open in the summer of 2007.
