Information enquiry

New Galloway is a picturesque village close to Loch Ken and Galloway Forest Park.

This is the smallest royal burgh in Scotland, established by Viscount Kenmure in 1633. It is a particularly neat place of whitewashed stone cottages, and provides a good base for leisure interests around Loch Ken and in the Galloway Forest Park, such as golf, fishing and water sports.

In August the nearby village of Parton proudly puts on the Scottish Alternative Games. One such game is the hi-octane adrenaline rush that is snail racing.
