Waternish

Waternish is a narrow peninsula reaching out from the north end of the Isle of Skye, offering impressive panoramic views of Loch Bay, Dunvegan Head and beyond to the Outer Isles.
Accessing the area via the imaginatively named Fairy Bridge, visitors soon discover a wide range of activities and attractions on offer. The picturesque conservation village of Stein with its recently upgraded jetty is an ideal maritime centre while walkers can enjoy a range of forestry or coastal trails. As with the rest of the island, Waternish enjoys a rich history and visitors can sample this through a number of fascinating sites including a legendary temple, mysterious cairn, historic church, and ancient fort.
With excellent accommodation and hospitality facilities, Waternish makes an ideal base for exploring all of north Skye.
