Haddington

Haddington is a genteel, orderly town set amongst agricultural country in East Lothian.
Agriculture has long been the basis for Haddington's prosperity. The successful growth of the town shows itself in some excellent architecture, dating from the 17th to 19th centuries, including the William Adam-designed 1748 Town House.
The firebrand Protestant reformer, John Knox, was born in Haddington in 1505.
A mile from Haddington, Lennoxlove House is a stately home belonging to the Duke of Hamilton, which boasts an excellent art collection.
