Edinburgh Quay
Edinburgh Quay is an exciting new regeneration development in Fountainbridge. A vibrant mix of restaurants, offices and residential apartments. It is also home to the terminus of the historic Forth & Clyde and union Canals.
Edinburgh Quay allows visitors to Edinburgh to explore the Capital's end of the 78 million pounds Millenium Link, the biggest canal restoration to have taken place, which reunites the historic link between Edinburgh and Glasgow.
With a public area which fronts onto the canal basin, visitors can enjoy a slower pace of life in a relaxing area tucked away from the busy thoroughfare of Fountainbridge.
Edinburgh Quay is already home for Cargo, a stylish concept bar and restaurant with terraced seating to allow guests to soak up the atmosphere from the waterside, and Zizzi, a pasta and pizza restaurant bringing all the tastes of Italy to Scotland's Capital.
From late spring 2005, visitors to Edinburgh Quay will be able to enjoy watching life on the canal as visiting boats manoeuvre in the basin, and the public space will be vibrant as it plays host to various events throughout the year, including evening open air recitals and family fun days.
