The famous 'Parallel Roads' of Glen Roy are among the most remarkable landforms in Britain created by glacial action.
During the last ice age advancing glaciers dammed a series of huge lakes in the glen. These left behind a set of shorelines that can be clearly seen on the hillsides today.
