The National Piping Centre

The National Piping Centre serves as the centre for excellence for the Great Highland Bagpipe and its music. Within our building there is a school of piping teaching many varieties of pipes and drumming. We also feature The Pipers’ Tryst restaurant, an 8 bedroom hotel, an auditorium for 120 and a gift and music shop. The National Museums Scotland collection of bagpipe artefacts is also kept here within our Museum of Piping. Amongst this stunning collection is the Iain Dall MacKay Chanter – the oldest piece of bagpipe in the world, as well as a piping relic that belonged to Robert Burns.
