University of Glasgow & Visitor Centre

Founded in 1451, the University of Glasgow is the fourth oldest university in Britain. The Visitor Centre presents an overview of the rich diversity of university
life, activities, organisation and history. It sets the scene for a visit to the campus with user-friendly, interactive computer displays, publications, models, an attractive cafe, quality gifts and souvenirs. Guided tours are available from the Visitor Centre and take you on a fascinating journey through the history and architecture of the University.
Alternatively, you can make a self-guided tour of the campus with maps available at the Visitor Centre.
Climb 236 steps to the top of the University Tower for an excellent view of the city. (Weather permitting - numbers limited)
