Founded in 1163. Early 20th century restoration of the choir by P MacGregor Chalmers and Lorimer. Medieval architecture, royal tombs of Marjory Bruce and Robert III, the 10th century Barochan Cross. Exceptionally fine woodwork including organ case by Lorimer, stained glass by Burne-Jones and others. Organ by Cavaille-Coll 1872, rebuilt Walker 1968. M8, junction 27, follow signs to Paisley town centre. By train to Paisley, Gilmour Street.
