Come and see the almost extinct Galloway tradition of clog making at the Clog and Shoe Workshop
The family-run Galloway Footwear is the last company in Scotland to still create handmade clogs as well beautifully handmade and made-to-measure shoes. Only the best quality leather is used and the best bit is you can pretty much design your own item of footwear - choose your style and then mix and match colours and finishes. There is plenty of choice - from vibrant brights to subdued shades, soft velvety nubucks to sleek shiny finishes. You could even choose sparkly, tartan or metallic if that is your fancy - the variety is almost endless.
Alternatively, there are over 20 styles of footwear for you to choose from ranging from traditional clogs to more modern Scandinavian clog varieties, comfy summer sandals to sturdy hiking boots and elegant court shoes.
Please note buses and coach visit must be prebooked.
