Getting There by Railway
The nearest railway station is Carlisle. Head north on the A7 to Teviothead. Turn left onto the unclassified road sign posted for Carlenrig. Travel for abour one and a half miles and the Cairn is on the left.
Getting there by Aeroplane
From Edinburgh take the A8 and head towards Edinburgh city then head onto the city bypass on the A720 heading east. Take the slip road sign posted for the A7 and follow this road the Galashiels and Hawick. Once in Hawick stay on the A7 south until you reach Teviothead. Turn right onto the unclassified road signed for Carlenrig. The cairn is one and a half miles on the left hand side.
Getting There by Ferry
From Stranraer head east on the A75 until you join the A74 then head south towards Carlisle (junction 44). Head north up the A7 to Teviothead. Turn left onto the unclassified road sign posted for Carlenrig. The Cairn is one and a half miles on the left.
