Elgin Cathedral

The superb remains of a majestic and beautiful 13th century cathedral. Almost destroyed in 1390 by Alexander Stewart, the infamous 'Wolf of Badenoch'. You can see the Bishop's home at Spynie Palace, two miles north of the town. Magnificent views from the NW tower.
Apart from the towers and the Chapter House, the Cathedral is accessible to visitors using wheelchairs or with limited mobility. In wet weather the grass areas can be soft.
The shop and display areas are accessible with care and if time permits the steward will give a tour. <br>
