Welcome to South West Scotland Maze and Playpark.
This year’s 4 acre magical maze is in the shape of 2 unicorns.
This year we ran a competition with schools in Dumfries and Galloway to design the maze. The winning entry was by Lauren from Ae primary school.
The winning design has been made into a maze by the worlds leading maze designers at Adrian Fisher Mazes Ltd.
It has been grown under plastic this year to make it taller when we open.
How it works
Work your way around the maze finding ten quiz clues to reach the goal.
Then have hours of fun in the courtyard playpark and try our delicious food from the snack shack and barbeque
Something for all ages whatever the weather.
A seasonal themed maize maze. Approximately 3 miles of paths (1.5 meters wide). Throughout the maze visitors will be able to take part in a quiz with clues along the way. A viewing tower is in the maze. Once you have conquered the maze and reach the finish point a victory bridge (or path for prams and disabled persons) will take you back out to the fun packed courtyard.
Courtyard consists of trampolines, go-karts, pedal tractors, maze, giant sand pit, diggers, rope maze, straw mountain. There are also Jersey cows. Light refreshments will be available and a picnic area. Shop for merchandise and gifts. Large free car park available and facilities for disabled toilets and baby changing.
This year the maze is running in conjunction with Walk a Million Miles campaign and raising money for British Heart Foundation.
