“Best Whisky Tour”

Glengoyne is open all year round for guided distillery tours, whisky tastings, in-depth blending sessions and Masterclasses. Situated just 14 miles north of Glasgow on the scenic A81, Glengoyne is close to Loch Lomond, Stirling and the Trossachs.

Guests are welcomed with a dram of award winning Single Highland Malt in our beautiful reception room, overlooking the waterfall and glen, before being taken on an entertaining and informative guided tour of the distillery.

The Glengoyne, Wee Tasting and Tasting tours leave from our visitor centre every hour and no prior booking is required for groups of 10 or less. With advanced notice you can indulge in our Cask Tasting tours, Master Blender sessions (where guests create their very own whisky), Masterclasses and much more. We have recently launched our new developments in the Distillery Manager’s house, which we believe positions the distillery as one of the best in Scotland, by offering the most varied and comprehensive distillery experience ever.

The Manager’s house has been transformed into a brand new venue, offering a state-of-the-art whisky Sample Room, impressive Club Room and fully equipped Board Room for meeting hire.

The Sample Room is spectacular in its design. Each wall is lined with an array of sample bottles containing whiskies at different stages of maturation from hundreds of Glengoyne casks. The Sample Room allows visitors to take their whisky knowledge to new levels, really getting them “inside the barrel”. Our Master Blender tour offers guests the opportunity to create their own unique blend of whisky, under the watchful eye of the sample room blender. This appeals to both whisky aficionados looking to expand their knowledge as well as corporate customers wanting a new and unusual team day out.

The Club Room, which is decorated using hand printed furnishings from hip designers Timorous Beasties, offers a place for visitors to relax, drink in their surroundings and learn more about our award-winning single malt.

The Board Room offers meeting facilities for up to 16 delegates and is aimed at companies looking for an unusual venue for meetings or presentations.

Private dining is also available at Glengoyne Distillery for groups of 12 - 42 guests. At Glengoyne we take great pride in offering exquisite cuisine combined with a tailor made programme in a truly unrivalled setting. Guests can enjoy a meal in our private dining room, built with one complete wall of glass and access onto a covered balcony overlooking the waterfall and glen. Enjoy drinks and canapés whilst soaking up this tranquil setting, visit the distillery to see how our wonderful Single Malt Whisky is made before settling down to enjoy lunch or dinner from a wide range of the very best fresh produce Scotland has to offer.

Our aim is to provide innovative and original visits that are both pleasurable and memorable, just like our Glengoyne 17 year old Single Highland Malt whisky, voted World's Best Single Highland Malt Whisky.
