"Figuratively Speaking" - a runaway success.

J.P. McLaughlin, an artist featured in our last edition is having a runaway success with his "Figuratively Speaking" show in the Pink Gallery, Helensburgh. The show is such a success that J.P. is having to produce more work for the show, which has now been extended from the 1st of May to the 8th of May.

The demand for the work has been growing steadily and the strong figurative work he produces really catches your attention. There is a dark humour that comes through in some of the work but all of the work is open to interpretation by the viewer, allowing them to put their own twist on the story.

Part of the great appeal of the work of this artist is that you can never guess what will come next and the variety of subjects means that there will be something to appeal to almost everyone. His unique style is proving that figurative painting is still very much alive and well.
