Henderson Gardens

This park is the central gardens within Coldstream with extensive flowering borders and permanent planting. Visitors and locals enjoy the beauty of the park which is extensively used as a viewpoint for the River Tweed, Cheviot Hills and the surrounding panoramic view of the local countryside. At the view point stands a stone monument to the Coldstream Guards Tercentenary in 1960. Officially opened on 16th May 1961, the park was created from the former tennis court of Doctor Henderson's house, and was named in honour of the doctor and his family. Now with a newly formed viewpoint with new permanent planting.
