Lamont Memorial

Near to, and across the road from the Castle Hill in Tom-a-Mhoid Road, stands a stone Celtic Cross memorial erected by the Clan Lamont Society in 1906 to mark the sport where their forefathers were butchered at the hands of the Campbells in 1646. Probably the most dramatic and terrible event in Dunoon's long history.
